Zahira closes: Greg Malouf’s restaurant Zahira has closed down, just nine months after opening. The large open plan restaurant was situated in the H Hotel, and served up a range of Lebanese-inspired dishes.
Chef Greg Malouf previously worked in the UK, where he retained a Michelin star at Petersham Nurseries Cafe. Previous ventures from the chef include a collaboration at Cle restaurant, which closed in April 2016 and a stint as chef-in-residence at Intersect by Lexus.
A spokesperson from the H Hotel confirmed Zahira’s closure. The announcement follows a string of prolific closures including Morah in the JW Marriott Marquis, Ceviche in Emirates Financial Towers, La Luz and Firebird Diner in the Four Seasons and Totora Cebicheria Peruana in Gate Village.
