Young Dubai-born entrepreneurs reveal Yeepeey, an app that aims to change the way consumers shop and save on groceries in Dubai
The newly unveiled e-grocery mobile app, Yeepeey, seeks to offer its users the ability to shop from neighbourhood grocery stores, supermarkets and hypermarkets, all from the comfort of their homes or offices whilst paying the same prices and enjoying the same promotions displayed in-store.
The app’s objective is to eliminate the mark-ups and reduce the service fees to a minimum or even free in some cases, in order to give customers, the ability to stay home and shop essentials. Users will also be able to see discounts in real time, as soon as they hit stores.
Conceptualized in 2019 by co-founder Monish Chandiramani, he explained that the app’s initial vertical is groceries and essentials and over time, would branch out to include more products. Co-founder Jatin Sharma further conveys the growth potential of the brand, with saw a 300 per cent increase in users since their official launch earlier this year and the on boarding of more than 50 merchants.
Through Yeepeey’s app, users can connect with grocery stores and supermarkets in their vicinity and receive their items in 30 to 45 minutes, or less.
Some locations currently being serviced in Dubai include Business Bay, Al Barsha, Jumeirah Lakes Towers, Jumeirah Beach Residences, Dubai Silicon Oasis, Downtown Dubai, Bur Dubai, Karama, The Greens, The Lakes and Emirates Hills.
Yeepeey looks to further expand its operation to include bakeries, confectionaries, flower shops, pet care and more.
