TUTTOFOOD 2019, which begins at Fiera Milano next month, is increasingly gaining ground as a real platform to supply the sharing of knowledge and insights into the future of the F&B sector.
Thanks to its rich programme of events, TUTTOFOOD – due to be held between 6 and 9 May – is becoming more than a consolidated business platform.
UAE-based brand development experts, Ymakan FZ LLC, are particularly excited to visit the two large informative “plazas” that will be stationed at the event in May, highlighting innovative new aspects that are now playing a crucial role in the sector.
The Evolution Plaza, underthe TUTTODIGITAL part of the exhibition, spotlights the latest digital trends in depth. From product traceability and the use of “bolder” technologies such as Artificial Intelligence, to solutions that are attentive to services such as accounting – on the fundamental theme of payments – or delivery, the plaza will demonstrate how the sector is evolving everyday at the hands of Industry 4.0 technologies.
Two days of the exhibition will be dedicated to highlighting this role of technology, with partners such as Amazon Web Services, Euranet, Csqa, Gs1, Istituto Poligrafico Zecca Dello Stato, Infocert and Techdata Italia all bringing their expertise to the Plaza. There will also be success stories on the control of the chain by leaders in the sector, such as Aceto Balsamico di Modena IGP, Cioccolato di Modica IGP, Grana Padano DOP.
As part of Evolution Plaza, the Italian consortium of digital commerce, Netcomm, will be holding a training course addressing issues related to agri-food digital retail, from the design and definition of KPIs to critical steps, logistics and payments, with a focus on export and the presentation of best practices.
The arena involving the Italian and international retail community, better known as the Retail Plaza, is back once again this year. A renewed concept to offer greater integration between exhibitors, other operators and experts, the plaza will host a confrontation which is as “technical” as it is a part of everyday life, in the name of good practices and success stories: from assortments to price policies and positioning, to payments, supply chains and the new “People & Dialogue” approach to the customer.
The Retail Plaza will also be hosting the first Dried Fruit Forum in collaboration with SG Marketing, a category which, in recent years, has experienced a market development driven by the demand for healthy food and the ability of producers to interpret consumer requirements. With a turnover of about 834 million euros in 2018 and 72 thousand tonnes of product marketed, dried and dehydrated fruit is one of the most important segments of the agri-food industry in Italy.
In addition to the plazas, the programmes of the 6 sectoral Academies are growing day by day in the lead-up to the exhibition. The engaging cooking demonstrations in collaboration with APCI (Professional Association of Italian Chefs) with the participation of the masters of the APCI National and Michelin star chefs will run alongside workshops, seminars, presentations of data and research, with the common goal of professional growth of those working in the field, those of the Unione Italiana Food (formerly AIDEPI) and ASSICA already registered in the calendar of events.
