Situated at the exquisite Souk Al Bahar, Time Out Market Dubai is the brand’s first Market to launch in the Middle East. Set to open early next year, the food and cultural market is conceptualised in editorial curation with a focus on homegrown talent.

Boasting breathtaking views of the prestigious Burj Khalifa and the fountains, the Market will capture and portray the soul and uniqueness of the city through innovative food, drink, gastronomical insights and enthralling cultural experiences through a casual-dining concept.

The 30,000 sq feet space, in partnership with Emaar Malls, will offer a curated selection of 17 kitchens, three bars, art and cultural areas – an all-in-one destination.

Chef Prashant Chipkar and his award-winning restaurant Masti will contribute the best of classic Indian cuisine with global influences, including dishes such as smoked salmon khakhra, chipotle paneer and tandoori chicken bao. Masti which translates to ‘mischievous and fun’ won the Best Indian Restaurant at BBC Good Food Magazine Middle East Awards 2019.

BB Social Dining will offer a modern Eastern menu outlined to suit every palate. Signature dishes from co-owners Spero Panagakis and chef Alexander Stumpf include short rib bao, habibiti (soft shell crab bao) and cauliflower popcorn with truffle tofu sauce.

Nick & Scott will present the best of British flavours in this modern eatery. Meanwhile, transporting diners from Dubai to the lively streets of south Vietnam, chef Lily Hoa Nguyen will bring forth Vietnamese Foodies. The local restaurateur will offer southeast Asian favourites of pho (noodle soup) and goi cuon (traditional spring rolls).

Pickl was launched with the expectation to convert non-burger lovers. Using beef from the US state of Nebraska and local fresh chicken, diners can tuck into succulent beef burgers, crisp chicken sandwiches and more. Pizza-lovers will be able to try Pitfire Primo and Bill’s Special, created by husband and wife duo Bill and Michele Johnson.

Contemporary dessert specialists Brix will dish out decadent and innovative curations, featuring chocolate truffles, luscious dessert bowls such as karak tea cheesecake and handmade bonbons to take home. Offering a variety of hand-crafted coffee, Nightjar will give customers a chance to explore nitro infused mocktails, tea and kombucha on tap, and cold brew coffee. Salt beef, cold brew panna cotta and Bombay chicken frankie are amongst dishes to try.

Time Out Market Dubai is the brand’s first launch ever since the pandemic began. To promote social distancing, creative dividers with inscriptions will separate dining tables. Plus, visitors can place orders via the Time Out Market app. To ensure everyone’s safety, the market is designed with the highest safety measures in place. Ultra-modern fresh-air filtration systems and air circulation technology will be implemented. Health and safety information vestibules will be placed at the entrance alongside sanitising stations. Plexiglass shield and cleaning crews will be assigned at all food and drink counters.

Existing Time Out Market locations are Lisbon, Miami, New York, Boston, Montreal and Chicago. More additions to the line-up will be announced closer to the opening date.
