For the first time, Doha will be included in the prestigious MICHELIN Guide, with the inaugural ceremony taking place on Thursday, December 12th, 2024, at Katara Hall, Raffles Doha
The MICHELIN Guide’s esteemed selection system includes its world-famous MICHELIN Stars, awarded to restaurants based on three key criteria: One Star for “high-quality cooking worth a stop,” Two Stars for “excellent cooking worth a detour,” and Three Stars for “exceptional cuisine worth a special journey.” In addition, the Bib Gourmand distinction highlights restaurants offering exceptional value for money.
All restaurants included in the MICHELIN Guide are evaluated based on five core criteria: ingredient quality, cooking mastery, flavour harmony, the chef’s personal expression, and consistency across both time and the menu.
The exclusive launch event will feature a reception celebrating Doha’s achievements, with renowned guest chefs presenting their exceptional culinary creations. Highlights will include:
- Alleno Paris – Three MICHELIN Stars, MICHELIN Guide France 2024
- Jordanær – Three MICHELIN Stars, MICHELIN Guide Nordics 2024
- BO Innovation – Two MICHELIN Stars, MICHELIN Guide Hong Kong 2024
Guests will have the opportunity to watch these distinguished chefs in action, sample a specially curated selection of canapés showcasing Doha’s culinary diversity, and network with key industry figures.
