Rumba Cuban Bar & Kitchen officially opens, boasting a concept that reflects the Havana of the 1950’s
Unarguably one of the more popular hotspots at The Palm Jumeirah, Club Vista Mare is now home to a vibrant and dynamic concept, Rumba Cuban Bar & Kitchen. From dining and bar experiences to lounge, terrace and laid-back beach vibes, the casual bar and restaurant is a fusion of colours, traditional Cuban cuisine, catchy tunes and sips that pack a punch.
The brainchild of native Cuban-born general manager, Alberto Cuello, Rumba Cuban Bar & Kitchen is a culinary adventure brought to life by Mexican head chef, Rene Manzanilla and Peruvian sous chef, Carlos Pazos.
The extensive menu, displayed in the form of an old newspaper, includes hearty dishes such as empanadas, guajillo prawns, enchiladas and skirt steak to name a few. For lighter bites, diners can tuck into guacamole Rumba, salmon ceviche and tacos de pescado.
Sinful desserts include maiz pavlova, tres-leches baked Alaska and the crowd-pleasing churros. The fiesta continues with Rumba’s classic Latin American influenced beverages and sugarcane-infused creative concoctions.
Colombian-born artist Jose Luis Quiceno, is the maestro behind the venue’s interior design, boasting intricacies that showcase this eclectic lifestyle concept. From hand-painted murals that depict the old streets of Havana, to the traditional entryways of Cuban homes, Rumba aims to transport diners to the streets of Cuba.
