Amidst stiff competition, the culinary team showcased their prowess and garnered high praise, showcasing their skills and dedication on a global platform. The Qatar Chefs Challenge 2024, a pivotal component of the roadshow, provided a competitive arena to spotlight professionals worldwide, emphasising food safety, waste reduction, and sustainability.
Chef Ala’ Haytham al Qassis, a distinguished member of The Ritz-Carlton, Doha’s culinary team, shone brightly, securing four prestigious awards. Notably, he was honoured as the ‘Best Pastry Chef of the Year 2024’ and clinched the gold medal for ‘Modern Dessert Live Cooking and Best Chef in Category.’ Additionally, his creations earned recognition with a silver medal for ‘Afternoon Tea’ and a bronze for ‘Asian Plated Dessert.’ Chef Paul Onipe also displayed his culinary finesse, earning silver for his ‘Live Cooking Signature Lamb Dish’ and ‘Live Cooking Black Box.’
Further contributing to the success were Chef Moath Nasrallah Nasrallah and Chef Zefanya Vega Felesita, who triumphed in their respective categories, showcasing their expertise and dedication.
