The Lana, Dorchester Collection’s first Middle East hotel, is set to launch in February with collaborations from renowned chefs Martín Berasategui, Jean Imbert, and pastry chef Angelo Musa.
The hotel, located in Downtown Dubai, aims to pioneer a new era of dining, offering a sophisticated experience with architecture by Foster + Partners and exquisite design by Gilles & Boissier.
Jara by Martín Berasategui, the renowned chef with 12 Michelin stars, is set to introduce a new dining concept in Dubai, marking his first restaurant in the Middle East. Located on the 18th floor, Jara will serve Basque cuisine, pintxos, and concoctions, reflecting the colourful spirit of life in the Basque region, with a menu curated by the master craftsman himself.
Riviera by Jean Imbert, the first Middle East venture for the acclaimed chef, will be a modern Mediterranean restaurant inspired by his heritage and travels. Located on the fourth floor of the hotel, it will offer a la carte breakfast, lunch, and dinner, featuring Jean Imbert’s creative and energetic approach to taste, along with a destination Riviera Bar for Mediterranean drinks and bites.
High Society, located on the rooftop and developed by Jean Imbert, will offer daytime poolside service exclusively for hotel guests, transforming into a vibrant lounge open to all from 5 pm. With an extensive selection of beverages, High Society aims to become the go-to lounge for sophisticated connections, boasting captivating views of Downtown Dubai, Burj Khalifa, and D3.
Bonbon Café Angelo Musa, an innovative pâtisserie concept, will bring Parisian sophistication to The Lana with a menu featuring viennoiseries, freshly baked bread, chocolate bonbons, ice cream, sandwiches, salads, and bespoke cakes. Renowned as the World’s Best Pastry Chef and awarded Best Craftsman of France, Angelo Musa, with over eight years leading the pastry kitchen at Hôtel Plaza Athénée, will also oversee the boulangerie and pâtisserie program throughout The Lana.
The Gallery at The Lana will serve as the venue for the highly anticipated signature afternoon tea, drawing inspiration from the quintessential British ritual. Expect traditional sandwiches and scones served on bespoke chinaware, complemented by signature pastries crafted by Angelo Musa. Additionally, The Gallery will offer breakfast, light bites, and a selection of coffee and other beverages.
At Veranda, an open-air lush garden bar, indulge in signature drinks paired with a sharing menu featuring tapas and international dishes influenced by Levantine flavours.
Nestled in The Lana’s lobby, Bitter Honey is an intimate bar where the origins of its sweet mystery lie within its beverage list offering table-side concoctions and bites.
Txakolina will be a secretly located lounge where guests can enjoy the smooth sounds of Vinyl and sip on the finest drinks.
