Minor Hotels announces the forthcoming expansion of its luxury Anantara brand in Oman, with a new resort set to debut in Bandar Al Khairan, Muscat in 2026.

Positioned along the rugged Omani coastline, just a brief 45-minute drive from the capital, this new 121-key property will boast 51 guest rooms, 46 chalets, and 24 villas, offering contemporary luxury amidst a striking natural backdrop, with select units featuring private pools for exclusive relaxation. Operated by Anantara, the resort will feature five dining venues, including international and specialty restaurants, a beachside eatery, a café, and a rooftop bar offering panoramic sea views.

Dillip Rajakarier, CEO of Minor Hotels and Group CEO of parent company Minor International, commented, “The timeless beauty of the Omani coast is a natural home for this upcoming new addition to our Middle East portfolio. Musstir are trusted partners who share our vision for the potential of this magnificent destination and our dedication to excellence across every element. Our team and I look forward to seeing this new Anantara come to fruition between the mountains and the sea.”

Owned by Musstir, the real estate acquisition and development arm of the MB Holding Company, which also owns Al Baleed Resort Salalah by Anantara, this development underscores a strengthened partnership between Musstir and Minor Hotels, marking a significant milestone in both entities’ commitment to Oman’s hospitality sector.

The resort will boast premium amenities such as infinity pools, kids’ clubs, event spaces, and a helipad, alongside an Anantara Spa and fitness centre, emphasising wellness and relaxation. Set in a pristine seafront location, the property is poised to attract leisure travellers seeking marine discovery experiences and wellness retreats, as well as offering an idyllic setting for hosting memorable events and corporate gatherings.
