As part of its Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG)-centred strategic initiatives in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the IFFCO Group has entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Tetra Pak

This significant collaboration between IFFCO and Tetra Pak solidifies a strategic partnership aimed at implementing global standards in cutting-edge practices and technologies to minimise the environmental impact of the group’s manufacturing facilities. The IFFCO Group is extending its footprint in the Kingdom by establishing a state-of-the-art factory equipped with the latest technology to locally produce sustainable, high-quality, and delicious products.

The initial focus of the factory will be on producing culinary creams, and the MoU with Tetra Pak ensures the optimisation of efficiency without compromising on quality or food safety. IFFCO has implemented a comprehensive set of sustainability measures, taking a holistic approach to diminish the group’s environmental footprint. The group actively establishes partnerships with local suppliers and third-party entities, encouraging the adoption of sustainable practices.

In line with its commitment to sustainability goals, the IFFCO Group has recently published its Environment, Sustainability, and Governance (ESG) report. This report underscores the group’s dedication to sustainable practices across its operations and value chains. It signifies a crucial step in instigating genuine sustainability changes in the food system through an agenda labelled “Investing in the Future.” This agenda includes endeavours to reduce greenhouse gas emissions, work towards net zero targets, decrease waste generation, utilise packaging with a lower environmental impact, and address water scarcity.
