Hotel Indigo Jabal Akhdar Resort & Spa has appointed Rohit Pushpavanam as its new Executive Chef

Chef Rohit will lead the resort’s culinary experiences, including Vue Rooftop & Lounge, celebrated as the highest rooftop lounge in the Middle East with stunning views, Zaatar restaurant, known for its innovative takes on regional dishes, and Café Wadi Habib, styled like a casual Omani souq. Chef Rohit brings over 20 years of experience and a passion for modern, locally-inspired cuisine to this Oman mountain retreat.

Throughout his career, Chef Rohit has held esteemed positions at renowned locations such as Cheval Blanc Randheli, One & Only Reethi Rah, and Alila Hotels by Hyatt, with experience spanning the Maldives, UAE, and India.

“Joining Hotel Indigo Jabal Akhdar gives me the opportunity to work with Oman’s unique ingredients,” says Chef Rohit. “I look forward to creating menus that showcase local flavours, whether for a dinner at Vue Rooftop & Lounge or a cooking class. Our aim is to offer experiences that highlight this region’s culinary traditions.”

Chef Rohit spent six months exploring Oman’s local ingredients, markets, and flavours to craft authentic regional dishes at Hotel Indigo Jabal Akhdar Resort & Spa, where guests can enjoy Omani-inspired menus, cooking classes, and private dining with mountain views. The 173-room resort, IHG’s first Hotel Indigo in the region, aims to create a sustainable, immersive mountain retreat that celebrates local experiences.
