Sensational food experiences, food scientists and Michelin-starred chefs are all set to dazzle at the 26th edition of Gulfood’s ‘Tastes of The World’ event from February 21-25

Gulfood 2021 brings together the world’s most influential chefs and industry leaders who are at the forefront of culinary innovation, to discuss and shape the future of food and gastronomy in the region.

This year, the annual food and beverage trade exhibition will feature 20 halls packed with diverse products from 85 country pavilions. Visitors can expect a taste of global flavours, outstanding culinary advances, new kitchen techniques and business success secrets at the year’s first live, in-person food & beverage sourcing event.

The event will also delve into topics around the Governments’ role in shaping the future of food; adapting to healthier, sustainable lifestyles; F&B marketing, tourism and retail; and leveraging emerging and future food technologies.


Experiences at Gulfood 2021

Chef Talks

Hosted by former BBC journalist and radio talk show host Dave Crane, the Chef Talks stage will lead interviews exploring the drive and passion of executive chefs, founders, authors and senior food professionals in the food and hospitality sector. Get inspired by their stories and new projects, as they cover topics such as Apps and Social Media, The Future of Dark Kitchens in the Middle East, The Future of Patisserie, Digitising B2B Seafood Trade and much more. This experience will also bring you a glimpse of culinary masterpieces created live on-stage by the world’s greatest chefs.

Innovation Summit

Global food authorities and industry experts will speak about new inventions and revolutions in the industry, providing the perfect opportunity for learning. The agenda includes topics such as Transforming the Coffee Industry, Global Food Trends 2021, Sustainable Eating and the Environmental Cost of Food, Kosher Food Trends in the UAE, the Vision of Destination Dining and much more.

Tastes of the World

As sustainability becomes more important in the F&B industry, chefs will demonstrate how to make the most efficient and innovative use of ingredients and achieve zero waste, while creating delectable dishes. The events lined up include the ‘International Culinary League’, featuring a battle of global cuisines as world-class chefs compete for the title; and a ‘Chef’s Club’, where Dubai’s top chefs from award-winning restaurants will join forces across four days to create gastronomic art for an exclusive, diners’ list. Look forward to ‘Masterclasses’ that feature sustainable cuisines, restaurant management, new kitchen technology, fusion-cuisine in Dubai and COVID-19 safety. This will also include demonstrations in the main kitchen and the flour kitchen where attendees will learn about ingredients, the world of wheat flours and the science of pastry-making led by dessert experts.

Gulfood Innovation Awards

The Gulfood Innovation Awards received hundreds of entries across 11 categories this year. The winners will be awarded trophies at the show.

Gulfood Startup Programme

National Latte Art Grading Battle

The first of its kind in the UAE, the battle is open to professionals in the coffee industry and specialty coffee enthusiasts residing in the GCC. Participants have to be certified by the ‘Latte Art Grading System’ to compete.
Furthermore, the 2021 UAE Latte Art Grading Battle Champions will represent the UAE at the World Latte Art Grading Battle 2021 that is set to take place at HostMilano, a world exhibition dedicated to the catering and hospitality sector, from October 22-26.
