Gulfood 2025, marking its landmark 30th edition, is set to kick off today at the Dubai World Trade Centre (DWTC)

This year’s event, under the theme ‘The Next Frontier in Food,’ will bring together over 5,500 exhibitors from 129 countries, solidifying its position as one of the most prominent global platforms for the food and beverage sector.

The event will feature an exclusive keynote address by H.E. Abdulla Bin Touq Al Marri, UAE Minister of Economy, who will speak on Day 2 at the inaugural Food500 Summit. His address will focus on the UAE’s economic strategy, underscoring the country’s commitment to becoming a global leader in food security and production. He will also highlight the UAE’s food cluster strategy, a key initiative aimed at driving local production, increasing food exports, and supporting the UAE’s ‘We the UAE 2031’ vision to elevate the national GDP to AED 3 trillion in the next decade.

The Food500 Summit will see top industry leaders and policymakers come together to address pressing challenges and opportunities across the global food value chain. Notable speakers include Ananya Narayan, CEO of Hunter Foods; Dr. Edwini Kessie, Director of the Agriculture and Commodities Division at the World Trade Organization; Alvyn Severien, CEO of Montaigne Nutrition and Co-founder of Algama; Tisha Livingston, CEO of Infinite Acres; and Daniel Levine, global trends expert, among others. The summit will focus on shaping the future of the food industry, highlighting innovation, sustainability, and new food strategies.

Gulfood 2025 will also celebrate the industry’s most cutting-edge innovations at the Gulfood Innovation Awards. These prestigious awards will recognise pioneering products, technologies, and ideas that are pushing the boundaries of the food sector. Hundreds of new products and groundbreaking innovations will be showcased throughout the event, with the winners announced on the first day of the exhibition.

A major draw of the event is the participation of renowned chef Alain Ducasse, who will headline the ‘Top Table’ series. With 21 Michelin stars, Ducasse is a celebrated culinary visionary known for his sustainable approach to gastronomy. His presence will bring a unique focus on ‘culinary futurism,’ and he will lead exclusive masterclasses and demonstrations, sharing his expertise on the future of food and the importance of sustainability in modern cuisine. Alongside Ducasse, a stellar line-up of chefs with a combined total of 50 Michelin stars will take part in the Top Table and Dubai World Cuisine activations, which will feature live cooking sessions, tasting experiences, and interactive culinary demonstrations.

Additionally, Dubai’s rise as a global food hub will be highlighted through a series of fine-dining collaborations at some of the city’s top restaurants, including Krasota, Takahisa, Avatara, Lowe, Armani Ristorante, and Orfali Bros. These exclusive events, created for Gulfood ticket holders, will provide a unique opportunity to experience Dubai’s dynamic culinary scene through specially curated 4-and 6-hands dining experiences, as well as a highlight 8-hands collaboration.
