Dubai International Hospitality Week launched on 18th September, with 50,000 visitors expected over the three-day event.
The four food trade shows include GulfHost 2017, The Speciality Food Festival, SEAFEX Middle East and yummex ME.
“Dubai International Hospitality Week is a reflection of the rapid growth of the hospitality and food sector across the region. The platform provides opportunities for sourcing, buying and networking across six co-located trade shows at a critical time for the industry,” said Trixie LohMirmand, Senior Vice President, Exhibitions & Events Management, DWTC.
“We are honoured today to have Dr. Rashid Ahmed bin Fahad officially inaugurate the shows, as we bring the best in hospitality to the region.”
Dubai International Hospitality Week: The four food events
GulfHost 2017
This is the first year GulfHost will run at the three-day event. The show will “give trade visitors the opportunity to access the full range of hospitality supplies, from front of house, back of house and bar and counter,” according to a spokesperson for the GulfHost.
There will be a dedicated ‘Innovation Corner’ with the latest kitchen gadgets. There will also be industry experts guest speaking at the Restaurant Development Conference. Supported by local partners the International Centre for Culinary Arts ICCA Dubai and the Middle East Food Forum MEFF.

Speciality Food Festival
This is the 8th year in a row the Speciality Food Festival SFF has featured at Dubai International Hospitality Week.
The show focuses on niche foods including gourmet, artisan, halal and organic products in the region.
The show provides an opportunity for buyers to source over 2,800 ingredients rare to this region.
This year the show will have a “Chef’s Theatre”, where Michelin-starred chefs and the best Dubai-based chefs will host six masterclasses each day. Topics covered will include the best cooking techniques for fine food; seafood, organic, artisan cheese and gluten free.
SEAFEX Middle East
This show is the go-to source for seafood from around the world. According to a spokesperson for the event, it provides a “vital platform for sourcing seafood from around the world, as the region’s demand for sustainable, alternative protein sources reaches new levels.”
SEAFEX has become a key platform for the sourcing of seafood from around the world, enabling suppliers in the region to meet a growing demand. According to Euromonitor International, the fish and seafood market is expected to reach a value of US$ 7.3 billion by 2021.
yummex Middle East
This is the 11th edition of the yummex Middle East show. It focuses on sweets, confectionary and snacks.
