David Myers launches three new F&B projects in Dubai

David Myers Dubai restaurants: The well-known international chef has opened two new Dubai properties, and will open a third venue before the close of 2017. The first two openings – BARSTA! And Bleu Blanc are restaurants, whilst the third will be a bar, all based at the Renaissance Downtown Hotel.

Blue Blanc is “French-farmhouse inspired restaurant”, according to a spokesperson for Myers, whereas BARSTA! Is influenced by Florentine steakhouses and Neapolitan pizzerias. The bar which is due to launch this December, is called Poppy and will focus on mixology.

The US-born chef was named Best New Chef by Food & Wine magazine in 2003 and achieved a Michelin star at his flagship restaurant Sona in Los Angeles in 2007, which the restaurant retained for the following two years. In 2014 he left the David Myers Group and focused his efforts on properties outside the US. Known as “the gypsy chef” Myers now has restaurants in Tokyo, Singapore, Hong Kong, and Dubai.
