Artyom Harobyan has joined the Italian restaurant Cucina at Courtyard by Marriott Dubai Green Community as head chef. The hotel said it was “delighted by the appointment” in an official release.
Chef Artyom has been in the UAE for seven years, having previously worked at Porto Bello at the Grand Millennium AL Wahda in Abu Dhabi, in the role of Demi Chef de Partie for five years. Followed by two years as Chef de Partie Speciality at Mazina, The Address Dubai Marina.
In both restaurants he focused on Italian cuisine, responsible for all the pasta, risotto and pizza dishes and other Italian delicacies.
Prior to working in the UAE, he worked at Mama Mia Pizzeria in Yerevan Armenia. Prior to working at the Italian pizzeria, Chef Artyom achieved a Culinary Arts degree in the same city.
Chef Artyom has achieved multiple awards over the years, including: Gold Medal in La Cuisine by SIAL Middle East Abu Dhabi Five-Course Gourmet Dinner Menu. 2013, Bronze Medal in La Cuisine by SIAL Middle East Abu Dhabi Fish and Seafood Practical Cookery 2014 and in the Five-Course Gourmet Dinner Menu. A Silver Medal in La Cuisine by SIAL Middle East Abu Dhabi Australian Beef Practical Cookery 2014 and a Bronze Medal in the Emirates Salon Culinary Dubai Fish and Seafood Practical Cookery 2014.
His new role at Courtyard by Marriott Dubai Green Community
In his new role, Chef Artyom will be looking over the daily operations of Cucina, the hearty Italian restaurant located within the hotel and well-loved by the surrounding community. The chef will also play a key role in an exciting concept catering to leisurely weekend dining launching on 22 September 2017 at Cucina.
