As winter approaches, Habitas Ras Abrouq is launching Humo, an exclusive BBQ experience led by Chef Vicente Vidal at Qissa Beach Bar

This unique dining event takes place every Friday. It invites guests to enjoy delicious food against the stunning backdrop of the UNESCO-protected Al-Reem Biosphere Reserve. Guests can indulge in a culinary journey that highlights desert flavours and the art of cooking over an open flame beneath the stars.

Chef Vicente Vidal reimagines the traditional BBQ with a refined menu. For example, guests can enjoy roasted lamb, smoky grilled prawns, and tender beef skewers. Each dish comes with vibrant garnishes like harissa aioli, chimichurri, and mint-pumpkin seed pesto. In addition, there are rice and vegetable dishes. Guests can choose from Caribbean rice with mussels and octopus, lamb biryani, and chicken paratha. Mezze offerings such as herb hummus, beetroot mutabbal, and smoked labneh add a fresh touch.
