UK-based chef David Tran will be joining the team at Benihana Dubai for the Japanese festival of Hanami this April.
Also known as the “Cherry Blossom Festival” the popular Japanese event traditionally celebrates the start of Spring. The event sees people from across the country gather under cherry blossom trees, enjoying food, drink and music with friends.
Chef David has 22 years of experience as a specialist Teppan knife chef, and is currently based in a sister restaurant to Benihana Dubai in Mayfair, London.
During his April trip to Dubai, Chef David will be entertaining guests at the table with his impressive dicing, tossing and twirling skills at the restaurant based in the Amwaj Rotana in JBR. He will perform to Teppan shows each night, with a special festive menu available during his stay too. Adding to the festive atmosphere, there will also be a “Chopstick Challenge” running during Hanami for diners, with a range of prizes to be won as part of the promotion.
