Sinju Varghese assumes leadership of the culinary department at the newly inaugurated Anantara Santorini Abu Dhabi Retreat, bringing with him over two decades of premium culinary expertise to this exclusive seafront property. With a Bachelor of Science in Hotel Management, Culinary, and Food Science, Varghese commenced his culinary journey as a chef in Kerala, India.

Over the course of his illustrious 20-year career, he has held positions in renowned international hotels and palaces, including The Grand Intercontinental, Taj Hotels, Resorts and Palaces, One & Only Royal Mirage, The Fairmont, Sheikh Zayed Road, Emirates Palace Kempinski, and The Westin Abu Dhabi Golf Club Resort & Spa, among others.

Under his leadership, restaurants under his purview have garnered Best Restaurant awards from 2012 to 2019. Before joining Anantara, he served as Executive Chef for a prestigious island resort in the Middle East, where he successfully revamped the kitchen operations, enhancing efficiency and elevating culinary standards.

Sinju’s previous experience includes spearheading F&B operations for a prominent UNWI ruling family in the UAE, demonstrating his ability to cater to diverse culinary preferences and dietary needs, making him an exceptional addition to the team at Anantara Santorini Abu Dhabi Retreat.
