Anantara introduces the management team steering the success of its groundbreaking resort in the luxurious waterfront enclave of Mina Al Arab.
Heading the team is General Manager Ramsey Saarany, a veteran with two decades of experience in premium hospitality and a commitment to excellence across all facets of the industry.
Assuming a new role as Director of Operations is Siva Bhaskar Reddy, following an exceptional ten-year tenure with the Minor Hotels family. Commencing as an Executive Housekeeper at Desert Islands Resort & Spa by Anantara in 2013, Siva rapidly advanced through key roles, including Front Office Manager at Anantara Al Jabal Al Akhdar Resort and Director of Rooms at Anantara Kalutara Resort, before joining the pre-opening management team at Anantara Mina Al Arab.
With a Bachelor of Commerce specializing in Finance from the University of Colombo and nearly 30 years of accounting experience, Ravindra Gamage brings his expertise as Director of Finance. Ravindra has delivered unparalleled service to Anantara Hotels, Resorts, and Spas for almost seven years, initially at Desert Islands Resort by Anantara and subsequently at Anantara Al Jabal Al Akhdar Resort, before assuming responsibilities in Ras Al Khaimah.
Leading human operations is Director of People and Culture Rudaina Sa’ad. Since 2016, Rudaina has played a pivotal role in fostering supportive environments for formidable teams and individuals as Director of Human Resources at two of Qatar’s top-performing resorts, before joining the pre-opening team at The Plaza Doha by Anantara in April 2022.
Director of Sales & Marketing, Sarah Hammond, is a highly successful commercial leader with an international track record of maximising growth opportunities and driving revenue through outstanding marketing. Sarah’s career began in the UK in 1998 before bringing her talents to the United Arab Emirates in 2016, where she has led teams at several well-known luxury hotel brands before joining Anantara Al Mina Al Arab earlier this year.
Collaborating closely with the Director of Sales & Marketing is Director of Revenue, Sergiy Maystrenko. Graduating in 2006, Sergiy has forged a career in hospitality, leveraging his reputation for problem-solving and analytical skills over 12 years in finance.
Driving excellence in the resort’s catering operations, including a specialty Asian lagoon restaurant and Mediterranean beachfront restaurant, is the Director of Food & Beverage, Andrew Vieira. Andrew brings almost two decades of experience in some of the Middle East’s most prestigious properties and expertise across the entire hotel lifecycle, from pre-opening to start-up, turnaround, and growth.
Rui Sousa joins Anantara as Director of Engineering after her career as an Engineering Manager, spanning from China to the UAE. Drawing on a wealth of knowledge and expertise gained from a decade of hospitality experience, Rui will oversee all engineering needs for the innovative Anantara Mina Al Arab, which introduces the first luxury overwater bungalows to Ras Al Khaimah.
