Meliá Hotels International to showcase hotel portfolio expansion at Arabian Travel Market (ATM)

Meliá Hotels International will present its expanding luxury hotel collection at Arabian Travel Market (ATM), at the Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre.

The company’s three luxury brands, Gran Meliá, ME by Meliá and Paradisus, currently have 33 hotels in key destinations worldwide, in addition to 10 ongoing projects that will increase their international presence.

Regional
In the Middle East, the company aims to increase its luxury portfolio with the introduction of its Gran Meliá brand, while also promoting the international growth of other brands such as INNSiDE by Meliá. In addition to its two hotels in Dubai, Meliá expects to open at least four more properties in the Middle East over the next few years.

ME Dubai

ME Dubai is a hotel in the Burj Khalifa district, which forms part of the architect Zaha Hadid’s legacy. The hotel’s dining options include Roka, a contemporary Japanese robatayaki restaurant; Deseo, a Latin-American bar; Central Cosmo Tapas & Bar, serving Spanish cuisine; and Botanica, offering creative concoctions. The ME Dubai is currently carrying out final works to offer new dining spaces and the region’s largest nightclub, with a reopening scheduled for September1.
The Meliá Desert Palm is located within a polo estate, 20km from Dubai. Facilities include a boutique fitness centre and the Samäna Spa, offering personalised treatments.
As for the new projects in the Middle East, ME by Meliá and INNSiDE by Meliá is scheduled to open hotels in Doha, Qatar by 2022. ME Doha will be sited within the Doha Live complex with 235 rooms and MICE facilities, as well as an infinity pool with views of the city and a range of dining options. INNSiDE Doha will be the first hotel for the INNSiDE brand in the Middle East and will be located in one of the main business districts in the city, making it a hotel for the “bleisure” segment. With 192 rooms, two restaurants, MICE facilities and a fitness centre, INNSiDE Doha will offer a modern lifestyle concept.
A further two new hotels in Iran and the UAE are expected to open in late 2021 and 2023, respectively. Gran Meliá Kish will launch in the Pearl of the Persian Gulf with 254 luxury rooms and suites. Gran Meliá Port La Mer will be the first hotel for the brand in the UAE. This new hotel will have 379 rooms and suites and 5 restaurants.

International
Meliá Hotels International aims to also position itself as an international benchmark for the outbound travel market, through experiences in the Mediterranean and the Caribbean.

Hotel Don Pepe by Gran Meliá

Hotel Don Pepe by Gran Meliá is a hotel in Marbella that offers the exclusive Gran Meliá RedLevel service to guests, which allows them to enjoy a luxurious experience with higher category rooms, access to private RedLevel spaces and extra amenities.
Hotel de Mar by Gran Meliá in Mallorca, is an exclusive hotel overlooking the sea and for adults only. The hotel also offers the exclusive RedLevel service, alongside two outdoor pools, luxury treatments in its Spa by Clarins and its own private cove.
ME Ibiza is a luxury lifestyle hotel located on one of the world’s most famous islands. Its facilities include the world-famous Radio Rooftop Bar and its Thai Room Spa and Wellness.
Another of the premium brands operated by the Spanish hotel company is Paradisus by Meliá, which has a selection of 12 resorts in the Caribbean. Among them, the Paradisus Playa del Carmen in the Mexican Caribbean is a resort set in a mangrove forest on the Riviera Maya.

Paradisus Cancun
The Paradisus Punta Cana is located in tropical nature, allowing guests to enjoy the peacefulness of their surroundings in an all-inclusive luxury resort. At the end of 2021, Meliá Hotels International is scheduled to open the Paradisus Playa Mujeres in Cancun, Mexico. The luxury resort will provide 498 rooms with views of the hotel’s gardens and beautiful beaches that highlight the natural beauty of the destination.
